wxtxt will send you the Environment Canada marine forecast via SMS whenever an update is issued. Pause and resume from your dashboard anytime.

How much does it cost?

$10 for a 30-day block. New users get a 4-day free trial, no credit card required. Pay as you go or auto-renew for a continuous feed.

How do I pause my feed?

Can I control my feed via SMS?

Yes, you can reply with these keywords in the feed:
FEEDON / FEEDOFF to toggle your feed
HELP for a list of commands.

Do you make your own forecasts?

No — we relay Environment Canada's forecasts as they're issued. It's the same forecast you know and love on the VHF WX channels (hence our name!).

Does it work for all marine forecast regions?

Yes, wxtxt covers all Canadian marine forecast regions, including Arctic and inland marine forecasts.

Do you send just the regular updates or all updates?

All updates to the forecast are sent, so you get the mid-cycle updates to forecasts and warnings as they're issued.

Does it work with US numbers?

Yes, wxtxt can send updates to both Canadian 🇨🇦 and US 🇺🇸 phone numbers.
